It's amazing how when we leave our country we are faced with many labor challenges; we discovered unknown facets in us, we are surprised and we let ourselves be surprised by the world, we learn and expand our perspectives. The experiences outside the home, daily life, and having to adapt to a whole new and unknown system it makes us grow in humility.
On a personal level I have assumed many labor challenges and with great dignity, working for a cleaning agency,(JH World Services), in a factory in the production of food, (Nikolaos Fine Foods), in a factory packing chocolates, (Randstad) in which I felt very well indeed by the dynamics of labor, and then the production line at a candy factory (Mondelez International), through an employment agency; KELLY SERVICES. I'd like to talk a little bit about them, because this agency offers employment opportunities all around Canada, and I as far as I know in many other countries.
This agency provides many job possibilities in a great variety of areas, and depending on our level of preparation it can offer good opportunities.
In my personal experience from the moment in that I send my first email requesting a job opportunity. They replied immediately and processed my application, then they called me (Teri Laughington) for an interview and to fill some forms, it was amazing, in a week I was working in the plant Mondelēz International Hamilton Agency. It was a hard job and long hours of work, sometimes during the day other times during the night, but I did feel honestly happy for the opportunity.
On this agency I met two extraordinary women who are the leaders of KELLY SERVICES within the plant.
They are: Rebecca Lynn Keddy and Jennifer Jean.
Jennifer is a woman that is always smiling, with a super special courtesy and kindness, Mrs. Rebecca is more than boss she is a good friend, super enterprising and encourages others to keep going.
These woman gave me the opportunity to be the shift coordinator in my work group, and it's amazing because although I speak very little English, they trusted me, I consider this a way to stimulate the immigrant, because needless to say that Canada is a multicultural country, and this agency has staff from all over the world, here I had the chance to meet and make friends with people of Philippines, India, Portugal, Iraq, Romania, Colombia, Mexico and many other countries: (Josefina, Nilop, Elizabeth, Gina, Wenddy, Sandrita, Angelika, Julia, Paul, and many other people).
I think it has been difficult for Rebecca and Jennifer to work with people from so many different cultures, beliefs, religions, and different characters, but they have succeeded. I would love to tell all women new comers to Canada and specifically to the city of Hamilton, who want to work, do not hesitate to seek out these great women in KELLY SERVICES, since they will be able offer them a job opportunity.
Currently I moved to another city, andI am fortunate to have a beautiful family, and together we have worked to make further progress in this great country, Canada offers opportunity for all who seek to excel, but the magic of all is to believe in ourselves and to try, to stand up in every stumble, and keep fighting, because you can.

FRENTE A LA REALIDAD DE TRABAJO FUERA DE NUESTRO PAIS.
Es increíble como cuando dejamos nuestro país nos enfrentamos a muchos desafíos laborales; descubrimos facetas desconocidas en nosotros, nos sorprende y nos dejamos sorprender por el mundo, aprendemos y ampliamos nuestras perspectivas. Las experiencias fuera del hogar, la vida cotidiana, y tener que adaptarse a un sistema completamente nuevo y desconocido que nos hace crecer en humildad.
A nivel personal he asumido muchos retos laborales y con gran dignidad: trabaje para una agencia de limpieza, (JH World Services), en una fábrica en la producción de alimentos, (Nikolaos Fine Foods), en una fábrica de embalaje de chocolates, (Randstad), en el que por cierto me sentí muy bien por la dinámica del trabajo, y luego en la línea de producción en una fábrica de caramelos (Mondelēz International), a través de una agencia de empleo; Kelly Services; de la que me gustaría hablar un poco acerca de ellos, porque esta agencia ofrece oportunidades de empleo en todo Canadá, y por lo que yo sé que en muchos otros países.
Esta agencia ofrece muchas posibilidades de trabajo en una gran variedad de áreas, y en función de nuestro nivel de preparación puede ofrecer buenas oportunidades.
En mi experiencia personal desde el momento en el que yo envié mi primer correo electrónico solicitando una oportunidad de empleo. Ellos respondieron inmediatamente y procesaron mi solicitud, luego me llamo (TeriLaughington) para una entrevista y para llenar algunos formularios, fue increíble, en una semana ya estaba trabajando en la planta de: Mondelēz International Agencia Hamilton. Fue un trabajo duro y largas horas de trabajo, a veces durante el día otras veces durante la noche, pero me sentí sinceramente feliz por la oportunidad.
En esta agencia conocí a dos mujeres extraordinarias que son las líderes de Kelly Services dentro de la planta.
Ellas son: Rebecca Lynn Keddy y Jennifer Jean.
Jennifer es una mujer que siempre está sonriendo, con una cortesía súper especial, y la señora Rebecca es más que jefe una buena amiga, muy emprendedora y siempre nos apoya a seguir adelante.
Estas mujeres me dieron la oportunidad de ser la coordinadora de horario en mi grupo de trabajo, y es increíble, porque aunque yo hablo muy poco Inglés, ellas confiaron en mí, considero que esto es una manera de estimular al inmigrante, ya que no hace falta decir que Canadá es un país multicultural, y esta agencia cuenta con personal de todo el mundo, aquí tuve la oportunidad de conocer y hacer amistad con gente de Filipinas, India, Portugal, Irak, Rumania, Colombia, México y muchos otros países: (Josefina, Nilop, Elizabeth, Gina, Wenddy, Sandrita, Angelika, Julia, Paul, y muchas otras personas).
Creo que es difícil para Rebecca y Jennifer trabajar con gente de tantas culturas, diferentes creencias y religiones, pero lo hanconseguido. Me encantaría decirles a todas las mujeres que recién llegan a Canadá y, específicamente a la ciudad de Hamilton y que quieren trabajar, no dude en buscar a estas excelentes mujeres en Kelly Services, ya que serán capaces de ofrecer una oportunidad de trabajo.
Actualmente me mudé a otra ciudad, y tengo la suerte de tener una hermosa familia, y juntos hemos trabajado para seguir avanzando en este gran país, Canadá ofrece oportunidades para todos los que buscan sobresalir, pero la magia de todo es creer en nosotros mismos e intentar y ponerse de pie en cada tropiezo, y seguir luchando, porque todo es posible.
